Tour Itenary

Day 1 : Pangkalan Bun - Kumai - Park (L D)

On arrival at Pangkalan Bun Airport, meeting service with your guide then direct transfer to Kumai to get on board. The boat is a traditional Klotok wooden river boat about 12m long and 2.5m wide with a roof upper deck where you can view the rain forest as it glides by. The guide's team includes the boatman, a cook and expert guide. In the peaceful afternoon we will slowly explore the quite river by the klotok while observe the monkeys or wild orangutan along the riverside. Dinner and overnight on the boat. simple mattress, pillow, fine meals, bottled "mineral" water, mosquito net, kitchen, simple toilet available on boat besides the familiar - helpful guides
and boatmen.

Day 2 : Houseboat - Pondok Tanggui Orangutan Rehabilitation Center - Camp Leakey - Houseboat (B L D)

After breakfast board the klotok to travel up river for about 2 hours boating and then up a side creek to Camp Leakey where the older orangutans are reintroduced into the rain forest. En route stop at Pondok Tanguy, the rehabilitation center for the new ex-captive orangutans, see feeding time at 09.00am . Then proceed to Camp Leakey. After lunch on the boat you will have opportunity to take small trek before see feeding time at 14.00 pm for old rehabilitation orangutan given additional foods. Overnight on the boat.

Day 3 : Houseboat - Kumai - Pangkalan Bun Airport - Banjarmasin.(B L )

Free morning program until time transfer to Kumai then to Pangkalan Bun airport for Banjarmasin . Upon your arrival at Syamsuddinnoor airport, Direct transfer to your hotel. Free Program

Day 4 : Hotel - Floting Market - Balikpapan .(B L )

Early morning depart from the hotel to see floating market activities. Back to the Hotel for breakfast. Then direct transfer to Syamsuddinnoor Airport to catch your flight to Balikpapan . Upon arrival at Balikpapan airport, meeting service and direct transfer to the Hotel in Balikpapan , evening free at leisure

Day 5: Balikpapan – Berau – Derawan Island (B L D)

After breakfast transfer to Sepinggan Airport for your flight to Berau, upon arrival at Berau direct transfer to the boat harbor then boating up to cross the Sulawesi Sea to Derawan Island . Check in at Losmen, or local house. After lunch, in afternoon possibility for snorkeling or Derawan village sightseeing.

Day 6 & 7: Derawan Island , Sangalaki Island (Bld)

Early in the morning by fishermen's boat to Sangalaki Island which is called the Capital of The Mantas Rays, many kinds of exotic fish could be seen in this area like the Mantas, Napoleons, purple sea horses, tunitates, dwarf scorpion fishes, and not to forget the Coral Sea Garden which is still in tact. In the night we could explore the Turtle bay. Overnight at the Simple Sangalaki Resort or Local house, meals provided on the way.

Day 8: Sangalaki Island , Tarakan, Balikpapan (Bl)

After breakfast start our trip cross the sea by simple fishermen's boat to Tarakan Island for the return flight to Balikpapan , from where you can connect for your next destination.
